Substituted Marriage to a Military Man: The Abstinent Boss Drops the Act on the First Night Chapter 51: The Big Furnace

After Jiang Ye left, Huo Jingyuan locked the iron gate of the courtyard. Wen Ci leaned close to him, hugging his firm, muscular arm, and said with a smile,
“It’s so cold outside, but you’re like a big furnace.”

“A big furnace?”

Huo Jingyuan’s tone rose slightly, the corner of his lips curling as he leaned close to Wen Ci’s ear and whispered softly, “Am I the big furnace, or is it…?”

Wen Ci was already used to Huo Jingyuan’s suggestive remarks.

She let go of his arm, moved behind him, and jumped onto his back, resting her head on his shoulder. In a low voice, she said, “Are you implying that you’re weak?”

Only men with weak constitutions have cold body temperatures.

“Whether I’m weak or not, don’t you already know?”

Wen Ci smirked, “I don’t know.”

Hearing this, Huo Jingyuan held Wen Ci’s hips with both hands and suddenly squatted down. The unexpected movement caught Wen Ci off guard, and she quickly wrapped her arms around his neck.

Her heart skipped a beat as she waited for him to stand back up.

Wen Ci let out a coquettish sound and lightly pinched his ear, “Huo Jingyuan, did you do that on purpose?”

“Do what on purpose?”

“Playing dumb, huh?”

Huo Jingyuan carried Wen Ci back to the living room.

Suddenly, Wen Ci remembered what Su Wanqing had said during the day. She leaned close to Huo Jingyuan’s ear, blew a soft breath, and clearly felt his body tremble.

Then, she asked slowly and deliberately,
“I heard that you and Dr. Su are childhood Sweethearts.”

Huo Jingyuan: “…”

When he felt the warm breath near his ear, Huo Jingyuan’s eyes darkened. He had been about to carry Wen Ci straight to the bedroom, but now he felt a sudden tension in his heart.

The political commissar had said that if he didn’t handle this matter properly, it could create a rift between him and Wen Ci.

Huo Jingyuan set Wen Ci down, his handsome face serious and earnest. He raised a finger and spoke in a deep, measured voice, “I, Huo Jingyuan, swear to heaven that Su Wanqing and I are not childhood sweethearts.”

“Then what are you?”

The reason Huo Jingyuan knew Su Wanqing was that he spent every summer and winter vacation abroad with his aunt. The Su family lived next door to his aunt.

After hearing Huo Jingyuan’s explanation, Wen Ci said, “So you’ve known each other for quite a while.”

Huo Jingyuan shook his head, “Not really. After I joined the military at eighteen, I never went abroad again.”

Military personnel couldn’t travel abroad freely, and as the youngest officer in the northwest, it was extremely troublesome for him to go abroad. So, his aunt would come back once a year instead.

Huo Jingyuan’s eyes darkened as he leaned in to kiss Wen Ci’s brows and eyes, “Ah Ci, from now on, you can trust me unconditionally.”

“Unconditionally?”

Wen Ci wrapped her arms around his neck, her gaze fixed on the man in front of her. Watching his Adam’s apple bob, she smirked and said, “If I leave a mark on Commander Huo’s neck, would your subordinates laugh at you?”

The way Wen Ci said “Commander Huo” made the title seem full of temptation, causing the man’s deep eyes to grow even darker, his gaze intense, as if he were ready to devour her at any moment.

“No.”

In the past, men in the northwest military region even used marks left by women as a badge of honor, mocking those who were still unmarried and inexperienced.

Huo Jingyuan had been one of those mocked for being inexperienced.

Although it wasn’t his first time with Wen Ci, she had never actively left marks on him. Now that she brought it up herself, he was overjoyed.

“Ah Ci, whether I can mock others or not is up to you.”

As he spoke, he wrapped his arm around Wen Ci’s waist, pulling her into his embrace. His hand rubbed against her sensitive waist, and his voice was low and magnetic, “Leave more marks on my neck.”
