Marrying the Infertile Officer, Winning Effortlessly in the Seventies with a Pregnancy System Chapter 251: “System, thank you. Thank you for giving me a chance to be reborn in this lifetime.”

Yueyue spoke, then stretched out her arms, asking to be hugged.

“Ah, yes, yes, Grandma will hold you.”

Yao Chunhua immediately embraced Yueyue, holding her just like she had held her own daughter when she was little.

Feeling the chubby little one in her arms, Yao Chunhua was truly moved.

When she had left, Yueyue had still been a tiny baby who only ate and slept. Now, she could already call her “Grandma.”

“Oh, where’s Xingxing?” After bonding with Yueyue, Yao Chunhua thought of her other grandchild.

“Grandma,” hearing her call, Xingxing, who was being held by his father, also called out.

Yao Chunhua handed Yueyue to her husband and then took Xingxing into her arms. “Ah, Xingxing is also a good child, such a good child.”

“Ningning!”

At that moment, Yang Manman and Su Miao, hearing the commotion outside, came out.

Thinking something might have happened, they rushed out only to find their sister-in-law’s family had returned.

“Eldest sister-in-law, second sister-in-law,” Gu Jianing called out warmly.

“Ah, good, good, Ningning, you’re finally back.”

Yang Manman and Su Miao were equally overjoyed to see Gu Jianing return.

Though they weren’t related by blood to their sister-in-law, who said only blood relatives could care for each other?

Their sister-in-law had always treated them well. Even while far away in the northwest, she never forgot to send packages back for them, their children, and the whole family. How could they not cherish such kindness?

Since marrying into the Gu family, their in-laws had treated them better than their own parents—so much so that they had long considered themselves true members of the Gu family. To them, their sister-in-law was family.

So how could they not be thrilled that she was back?

“Ah, old woman, why are you still keeping our daughter standing at the doorstep? Hurry and bring her inside!” Old Man Gu reminded.

Yao Chunhua quickly snapped out of it. “Right, right, come in, let’s go home first.”

Once the group entered the house, news of Gu Jianing’s return spread like wildfire throughout Huaihua Village, soon reaching neighboring villages and even the entire Qingshan County.

There was no helping it—Gu Jianing was the only notable figure Qingshan County had produced in recent years.

Meanwhile, the superiors of Gu Yunnan and Gu Yunzhou, upon learning that their sister—the renowned Dr. Gu—had returned, were equally astonished.

They immediately approved early leave for the two brothers.

Without delay, the two rushed home as fast as they could.

Gu Yunting, working at the steel mill, was the last to find out.

When his supervisor came to dismiss him early, Gu Yunting was completely confused.

“Boss, did something happen? Or did I make a mistake somewhere?”

The supervisor laughed at his reaction. “You really don’t know yet?”

Gu Yunting grew even more bewildered. “Know what?”

“Did something happen at home?” The thought made him panic.

The supervisor chuckled. “Something did happen, but it’s good news! Your sister, Dr. Gu, is back!”

What?!

It took Gu Yunting a few seconds to process. “What? My little sister—Ningning is back?”

“That’s right. The whole county is talking about it.”

“So hurry on home.”

Realization dawned, and Gu Yunting was ecstatic. “Okay, thank you, Boss! Thank you!”

Without another word, he clocked out, hopped on his bicycle, and pedaled home as fast as he could.

Then, at the doorstep, he spotted the familiar jeep. As soon as he stepped inside, he saw that familiar, delicate figure in the living room.

“Little sister!”

“Big brother!” Gu Jianing rushed over and hugged her eldest brother the moment she saw him.

“Little sister, you’re finally back.”

“Yes, big brother, I’m home.”

“You didn’t even tell me in advance—I was the last one in the family to know.” Gu Yunting’s voice carried a hint of grievance.

Gu Jianing couldn’t help but laugh. “Alright, big brother, my bad. I should’ve told you first.”

She knew all three of her brothers were doting “sister-obsessed” types—they had always treated her with endless love and care.

Meanwhile, Sheng Zexi was witnessing his wife being hugged by another man for the third time today.

Sure, it was one of her three older brothers, but…

He still felt a little jealous.

So, Sheng Zexi decided to place Xingxing into his brother-in-law’s arms.

Suddenly holding a child, Gu Yunting completely forgot about Sheng Zexi’s subtle jealousy. Staring at Xingxing and Yueyue, he was overwhelmed with excitement and joy…

The return of Gu Jianing’s family of four brought immense happiness to the entire Gu household.

Gu Jianing stayed in the same room she had before her marriage.

Yao Chunhua and Old Man Gu had long declared that even though their daughter had married, her old room would always remain hers—no one else was allowed to use it.

For over three years, even though Gu Jianing hadn’t returned, the family had kept the room meticulously clean, with everything arranged exactly as it had been before her wedding. The quilts and pillows were regularly aired out.

So, even though she hadn’t announced her return in advance, Gu Jianing and her family could move in immediately.

As she looked around the spotless room, where even the smallest details remained unchanged from before her marriage, Gu Jianing’s eyes reddened.

Time and again, she had felt the genuine, unwavering love of her family.

“System, thank you. Thank you for letting me be reborn in this lifetime.” For giving me the chance to make up for regrets and cherish my loved ones.

The moment Gu Jianing returned, Yao Chunhua immediately dragged her daughters-in-law to the kitchen to prepare a feast. Now that her precious daughter was finally home, she had to cook all her favorite dishes.

Meanwhile, Xingxing and Yueyue were already playing with their cousins.

Gu Jianing asked Sheng Zexi to unpack one of their bags and distribute the gifts she had brought for everyone.

“Zhuangzhuang, Shitou, Xinxin, Qingqing, come here! These are the gifts Auntie brought for you…”

Led by the eldest, Zhuangzhuang, the children lined up to greet Gu Jianing politely.

They already had a good impression of their beautiful aunt, so they didn’t feel the slightest bit shy around her.

Gu Jianing gazed at the little ones before her.

Now, her eldest brother and sister-in-law had a son and a daughter, and her second brother and sister-in-law also had a son and a daughter. It was wonderful.

But in her past life, her eldest brother and sister-in-law had never had children—a regret that haunted them for the rest of their lives and strained their marriage.

And her second brother and sister-in-law…

Gu Jianing remembered that, in her past life, her second sister-in-law had died in childbirth while delivering her third child.

Calculating the timeline, that tragedy was only six months away.

She decided to find an opportunity to give her mother a “Smooth Delivery Pill” in advance, just in case.

If she were around, the pill might not be necessary, but since she only returned home once every few years, it was better to be prepared.

In this lifetime, she would make sure all her brothers and sisters-in-law lived safe, happy lives, growing old together.

Gu Jianing had brought gifts for every member of the Gu family.

Before long, Yao Chunhua and her daughters-in-law finished cooking and called everyone to the table for dinner.
